INTRODUCING OUR CO-PASTORS

We are served by a "clergy couple." Co-pastors Cristabelle Mosende Russell and Harold Russell arrived in Alamosa in September 2004. Both are grads of McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago.

Pastor Cris was born and raised in the Philippines, a country with a rich Hispanic and Catholic heritage. She has served as a fifth and sixth grade teacher prior to Seminary. She received a four-year merit scholarship to Seminary. Cris leads our 8:30 Contemporary Worship Service. She is an out-going intuitive type of person, an enterprising person.

Pastor Harold was raised in Texas. He received two preaching awards in Seminary. He leads our 10:30 traditional worship service. He's interested in story preaching and has a doctorate in literature. He's a more inward and feeling-type person.

In her spare time, Cris runs a small clergy-clothes business, which is on E-bay. She is presently organizing a Mission Project in the Philippines. It's a free-lunch program for kids who come to school without being able to buy their lunch.

In his spare time, Harold enjoys writing. He's the author of a book on a Biblical and literary scholar named Northrop Frye, which was published in New York and London in 1998.

The Russells have a three-year old son, Andrew. They live on the edge of the Adams State campus at 98 Sierra Ave.
